It depends on the care that is given to the dog, teeth brushing, weight, and the breeding. Many more things throughout the dogs life. The lady next door takes terrible care of her dog and never treats it like a pet. I feel for the poor dog. My Duke passed away in 2013 of cancer and lived 10 years with perfect care. You just never know what old can be anymore.
