Its possible for a dog to become aggressive towards anything if its had a bad experience with that "thing". It may appear to be aggression but in dogs its more commonly a fear reaction but its involves a lot of barking, lunging etc that we interpret aggression.
Jasper doesnt like children hes a very sensitive little soul and children are just too unpredictable for him, they move suddenly make sudden weird noises etc and in extreme case he looks aggressive with all the posturing and barking but hes just saying "keep away, I dont want you near me"
