Brown schnauzer
I have a question about brown schnauzers. I’m new here and was filling out the profile stuff and it didn’t have brown as a color option available. Is brown not accepted yet? I’m new to the schnauzer world, so I’m curious.

Re: Brown schnauzer
Hi Crys,
The colour options are based on accepted breed standard colours for the miniature schnauzer as identified by the Kennel Clubs in the U.K., USA and Europe.
In the USA the accepted colours are:
Salt and Pepper; Black and Silver and solid Black only.
In the U.K. the accepted colours are:
Pepper and Salt; Black and Silver; Black and also, more recently, White has been accepted.
In Europe the accepted colours are as for the U.K. and they also specify that the solid black dogs have a black undercoat and solid white dogs must have a white undercoat.
Brown is not an accepted breed standard colour currently.
