He was a handsome dog, Julie. I'm sure that after many years together you have many happy memories.
I did have a smile at your reference to pigeons as both of mine hate seeing a pigeon on the ground!

I hadn't realized he'd had been such an "old" boy. He had a lovely life lots of memories.
Yep pigeons arent allowed to drink in the bird bath either

All I can say is that Otto has now taken up the mantle of not allowing any bird in the garden and he is very unhappy when they land on the roof of the gazebo.

Hi Julie, thinking about you they are never far from our thoughts when they leave us but know you will think about your Oscar everyday as much as I think about my Suzi everyday as we lost them just a few weeks apart & then I brought home Gino on the day your Otto was born. I am so glad that I got another to help ease my pain & I expect you will be the same.

Beautiful pictures Julie, of a very regal looking Oscar (especially in that 2nd snap) - he was certainly a handsome boy.
