A lot of the Scots don't like the English. I hope they're OK with Aussies.

Anyway most of you have Scottish ancestors anyway!!

Back in Australia I had a really good friend who was Scottish. Sadly he is no longer with us (but not forgotten) but I could always understand him perfectly unless we were having a few drinks. Then his accent would become so broad that I had no idea what he was saying.
This is after he had been living in Australia for over 20 years. They say the Scottish accent is one of the hardest to lose.
