Oh gosh, I'm really sorry to hear that. I know the pain too well. I know it's just words but every day does get better but it takes time. I still struggle to watch videos of my boy without getting upset/crying and we had to let him go in April 2025 (he was just short of 10).
Something that helped me (or maybe it prolonged the pain, I don't know) was putting together a memory book. So I chose loads of photos from when Oscar was a pup all the way through his life, then I used the Boots app to put them into a book. I had one section of photos with him on his own on various adventures and another section with friends and family. It took my mind off his loss when he first went although it was still hard. And it is something lovely to have, a memory book to look through. Again, it can be tough looking through it. I'm 15 months further on than you and find I can talk about Oscar now with getting upset. I miss him still and you will miss Olly too but eventually you learn to look back on the amazing times you had with Olly and feel blessed he shared them with you.
I'm not religious or spiritual but it definitely feels that somehow, our beloved pooches choose us somehow.
Sending you love and hugs.
