Hello all
I am planning on making the changes to the forum on Mon, 14 May 2018. The forum will be offline from around 09:00 GMT. I don't have an estimate of when it will be back online, it depends how the upgrade goes.
If it is not back by 17:00 GMT, I will update everyone via Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/schnauzerforum/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's going to be a or a day.

Watson, black mini born 21/02/12
I offer my advice freely, but I am not an expert, breeder, groomer or behaviourist. It is simply my experience of raising pups in a way that seems to make sense.

Just a query, is there no dynamic page re-sizing? The forum takes up the middle 2/4ths of my mac screen when previously it filled edge to edge.
The old layout had the column to the right, which I have done away with now. That is so that the forum displays better across all devices. It is responsive on smaller screens, but doesn't fill bigger screens completely anymore.
There were are a moments, and I still have lots of cleaning up to do, but I wanted the get back online today. I'll keep tweaking, so it may up and down over the next few days. If anyone notices anything, let me know please.

Thanks for the quick response Dean. The update looks very clean. Your work to keep the forum online is greatly appreciated.

GDPR.. lets just say Im head of compliance for a sizeable tech firm. Its an interesting time.
I don't envy you one minute. It's a nightmare, especially trying to make head or tails of it. I'm not even sure it applies to the Forum, but I'll do it just in case.
With fines of 4% of turnover, Rupert would hate to give up 4 dog biscuits.

;) It applies to any entity that holds (controls or processes) personal data, so even this forum would technically fall under it as its an online platform where personal details are held, the owners and users of the site are equally liable for the protection of that data. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, even personally identifiable information like IP addresses.
It's mainly aimed at the likes of social media platforms, facebook, et al. But it affects any platform, entity, organisation or even person that controls or processes someone else's data.
I'm sure we'll look back and laugh one day... one day a long time from now.

It's crazy. If a tenant calls me about a faulty boiler, then I need their permission to give their details to the gas engineer. I also have to check that the gas engineer has a policy in place before I can pass on the details.
