First haircut for Bea :)
Hi, our little girl Bea had her first haircut today. She went from this very scruffy looking mutt ....
To this (a proper schnuazer!) ....
I think she looks lovely but then again I am biased. The groomer did a fantastic job and even though she is a bit wary of strangers seemed to be at ease straight away and apparently was very well behaved (although she did like to eat the hair lol).

She looks great how old is she, I'm trying to decide when to take Hugo.

Thanks. She is 5 months and 2 and a half weeks. Her hair was starting to come out and she just looked really scraggy and kept knotting as the top coat and undercoat kept knotting together despite daily grooming. First schnauzer that we have had and was so worried about the haircut going wrong!

She looks fab! This was Jasper before and after, I always think they look like a different dog the first time they are cut . He's 5 months next week and getting another cut on Sunday, his hair grows so fast!

Even if Hugo is still too young for a 'proper' cut, it's best to get him used to a groomer from a young agespill50 wrote:She looks great how old is she, I'm trying to decide when to take Hugo.

Re: First haircut for Bea :)
I just love the transformation from scruffy puppy to proper schnauzer, there is no other cut that is as dramatic.
Rodders had his very first full schnauzer trim at 13 weeks, a bit too early for me but we had the opportunity to do a Schnauzer grooming day. I left Creggan a while longer jus so I could enjoy the puppy look
But it is important to start brushing them at home and to get them used to going to the groomer (unless you plan on home grooming) as early as possible so puppy cuts are a great idea.
