My scraggy pup is gone!

Our Schnauzers do need to be groomed regularly and they truly are transformed after a visit to the groomer. Share your before & after Schnauzer grooming photos here.

My scraggy pup is gone!

Post by Nadja »

Minnie had her first snip. I do want her stripped but OH had other ideas as this groomer did his previous Schnauzer and "she always did a good snip".

But I want her colour to stay. :ympray:

Anyway.

Such a pretty girl :x

You may want to invest a small amount of money in a stripping stone, then you can surreptitiously start using it on her. It will help to remove the fluffy undercoat and will help the air to circulate better in the warmer weather. It may also help the wiry coat to come through ;)

Thanks everyone. What's a stripping stone? I looked it up and it looked like a pumice stone. :-\

Hi! I'm not sure what it is made go but it is actually very light - you can snap it in two to make it smaller for a ladies hand size - think the weight of dense polystyrene. I bought one after forum advice and it is brilliant - the puppy fluff comes out in clouds and my pup's wire hair is coming through nicely now. You just brush it over the coat in the direction the fur grows. It works like magic :)
