VEry enjoyable
And great progress
It is interesting to see both dogs work, respond and interact with eachother and the situation.

Good story this -Darwinsmum!

No agility for Schu. Next school seems 160km away

Schu jumps over pipes (on the ground) and stands on planks and runs through cardboard boxes both ends open. Stands on trees parallel across a river....

The round thing, that you have in the garden, what do you call it??
I have to do my own.
Please keep us posted as to what happens and Schu can compete in our garden.
MANY MANY thanks!

It's a child's tunnel from a toy shop Astrid, just right for the schnauzers but was too small for my goldie. Mia loves running through it and goes out of her way to do it. We had the ladder out this weekend to do some work on the house and I put it flat on the floor and with a treat got the dogs to walk over each rung (good for knowing where their back legs are). My cat loves the treats too so he did it as well! You could make a see saw with a plank of wood and a log, but be careful of Schuberts joints and bones while they are still growing. That's the trouble I'm having with Mia as she sees Darwin do something and wants to do the same.

Walking over the ladder on the floor sounds great.
I have a plank on the ground on two bricks. Schu stands on it and I praise him and he does not get why I make such a fuss... :) That is really funny.
Yesterday he ran through a huge old log, when we explored the river front of our property.
Quite wild and dark.
And we was OK, also standing on a big tree branch that reaches out far into the river. I held my breath... it is hard to stop a dog.

WATER/River/Creek
Schu loves the water and walks straight in.
I am glad he is too scared to swim... it would be too dangerous.
He also does not swim in the creek and I don't encourage it.

How are your dogs with water?

Yes, thanks for the reminder, I understand joints and bones and I give him rest days between "farm days" where he gets zoomies in the most amazing territory.
I will get him a tunnel!

THANK YOU SO much for the pictures of yr garden!

Soo much to do ... so much to prepare.... to practice and to learn.

Thankyou for yr help and the ideas. Thankyou for sharing Mia's work.

Confidence building at class last night, I love teaching this class so was interested to see if it was as much fun as a client - it was. I was so proud of Mia, we used some of the agility equipment so she was able to walk along the dog walk (flat on the floor), go throught the agility tunnel, over some poles on the ground and a mini A frame, along with various tents, umbrellas, dolls pram, hula hoops etc. (clap)

:D That's fantastic! She's going to be a star, I can feeeeeel it! Confidence building must be the most important thing in agility - in our puppy class with Freds, we were being taught it by coaxing them through an agility tube. One Bull Terrier was TOO confident, ran through it, the tube began to roll, with the poor puppy inside it!
