RIP Jake 29.10.21

Saying goodbye to our Schnauzers is the hardest part. Share your memories here as we bid farewell to our beloved friends. They've crossed the bridge and returned to the meadow in full health and free of injuries. Running free. We won't forget.

RIP Jake 29.10.21

Post by Champ629 »

Jake 29.03.07 - 29.10.21

Very sad to announce that we lost Jake this morning. 14.5 years by my side, my loyal best friend.
Jake had a long amazing life, he was our first Miniature Schnauzer, very well-travelled and he loved his holidays and trips to the seaside. We joined this forum when Jake was a pup all those years ago and made some very special friends.
Over the years Jake welcomed every rescue dog into our home and made sure they got to know our routines. He was super smart, such an intelligent dog and he had a heart of gold.
Diabetic since February 2020, which was uncontrolled due to his other health problems, this lead to his eyesight being taken at the end of 2020. Being diabetic and blind took away a lot of Jake’s enjoyment, but he still wagged his tail, barked for his dinner and remained the same affectionate little dog that we had loved for years.
Sweet dreams my beautiful brave boy, you will never be forgotten and you will always hold a very special place in my heart. Love never dies.

Karen,

So sorry to hear that you have lost Jake. They certainly do leave big paw prints on our hearts.

Run free, little man.

Watson, black mini born 21/02/12

I offer my advice freely, but I am not an expert, breeder, groomer or behaviourist. It is simply my experience of raising pups in a way that seems to make sense.

Hi Karen so sorry to read that you have lost your handsome boy, it is heart breaking when they leave us, been there so know exactly how you are all feeling, as they leave a huge gap in our life. Know its early days, but I did get another to ease my pain, admit felt guilty but it was the best option for me as it helped me.
Do take care & try & think of the happy times that you all had, sending you hugs

My heartfelt sympathies to you. Regardless of their age, it is still hard that he (they) are no longer there. Jake sounds he was a fantastic charactor but that is the nature of Schnauzers. Thinking of you. x
